Our lives are ruled by apps, all designed to simplify our lives. There are apps for everything! Grocery shopping? There's an app. Need a ride? There's an app for it.

There’s even an app to tell you how to treat your dying plants, so it comes as no surprise that there are numerous travel apps. TourRadar is one of those apps, and it’s pretty well-known.

In the following review, I’ll take a deep dive into this app. Before you go, I want to give you a better idea of the pros and cons, how to use the app, and if it's really worth checking out.

What is TourRadar?

Tourrdar is touted as the “world’s first Adventure Booking Platform”. It was launched in 2010 with the purpose of offering travelers an easy way to book private, group, and/or custom-built single and multi-day experiences.

Over the years, TourRadar has grown to include more than 2,500 operators with over 50,000 adventures in 160+ countries. The app was designed to “connect travelers, operators, and travel advisors to organized adventures through one platform”.

They specialize in multi-day tours and adventures. When using the website, you can search by destination or type of adventure, depending on what you're on the hunt for.

Essentially, it's a one-stop shop for adventure.

Who Should Use Tourrdar?

TourRadar is a great app for anyone who likes to travel but hates to plan or is short on time. The app has thousands of pre-organized adventures and experiences, making organizing your next journey as easy as a few clicks.

The app is ideal for anyone traveling solo or with a small group of friends and family who like to explore more off-the-beaten path-type trips. Experiences range from African safaris to Amazon adventures and everything in between.

The app is user-friendly and offers tours for a variety of age ranges, interests, budgets, and time constraints. People who like this app tend to be the more adventurous and outdoorsy type like hikers, campers, and explorers.

However, TourRadar also offers tours that focus on health and wellness, food, culture, and even festivals.

Although geared towards the more adventurous traveler, you can also find plenty of options outside of this type of travel. So, don’t overlook it too quickly!

How Does Tourradar Work?

Tourradar is relatively easy to use. It’s organized into several different categories. For example, you can search by place, adventure style, or type of travel (group, private, self).

They also have a “deals” section as well as weekly highlighted deals. Once you narrow down where you want to go and what tour you want to do, you can book right through the app.

The app provides 24-7 customer support, detailed itineraries, client reviews, up-to-date travel restrictions, and advisories along with interesting information about the place you're traveling to.

Is TourRadar Free?

This is the answer you want to hear! Yes, TourRadar is free to use. It’s even free to list a tour or adventure on the site, only needing to pay a commission on completed bookings.

On TourRadar, you can earn “travel credits” with each booking. For example, when you spend $1-5k you earn $50 in credits, if you spend $5-10k, you’ll earn $150 in credits and if you spend more than $10k you can earn $250 in credits. You can apply that discount directly on your next booked trip.

Is TourRadar Worth It?

TourRadar is definitely worth using if you want to experience thrilling trips that are a bit less traditional. They have overwhelmingly positive reviews and have a variety of offerings.

It’s also well organized and easy to follow through with a booking. The website is readable and not flooded with moving ads or popups.

However, there are still things you should watch out for. Customers have often complained about the refund policy and information being incorrect. Additionally, with all the information available on TourRadar, it can become a little overwhelming—especially if you’re not into adventure travel.

For more general tours and bookings, you should consider looking at options like Tripadvisor, Cleartrip, or Viator.
