Just follow my easy steps, and you'll be on your way before you know it.

Select whether you want a return, one-way, or multi-city ticket on the home page. Then, enter the origin and destination of your trip. Choose the date you would like to travel and select the number of passengers. Finally, click on "search now."

The website will then direct you to a page with different time options for your flight. Select the time of your flight and click 'continue.' You can then choose between the Zero, Plus, or Full fares.

Once you've chosen your fare, add any extra baggage or seat preferences. Finally, review your selection and proceed to the payment' to complete your booking!

Sky Airline Fare Types

If you're looking for an airline offering excellent seats at various price points, Sky Airline is a perfect choice! Whether you want to splurge on a first-class seat with extra legroom or save cash with a standard seat, the airline has something for everyone.

Here are the economy class options when buying tickets with Sky Airline:

  • Zero: The most cost-effective option only includes 1 hand luggage and a randomly assigned seat.
  • Plus: With this fare type, you'll be allowed a handbag, carry-on baggage, and 23kg checked suitcase. You'll also be able to select a standard seat.
  • Full: This is the best fare with loads of flexibility. Choose the seat you like the most, and take one handbag, one carry-on baggage, and two 23 kg suitcases in the hold. You'll even get preferential boarding and check-in.

There isn't a business class cabin on Sky Airline flights, since it's a low-cost air carrier. But, if you need to get off the plane in a hurry, its "Up Front" and "Plus Ahead" seats are located near the front so you can disembark quickly.

Sky Airline Baggage Policy

We all know the drill: you're rushing to the airport, trying to make your flight, and suddenly you remember that you need to check your luggage. But what are the airline's policies? What can you bring on the plane? How much will it cost you?

Sky Airline's baggage policy is simple: depending on the fare you have purchased, you're allowed to bring a personal item or a personal item with a carry-on bag. Even a checked suitcase will come with your fare in some cases.

The personal item must not exceed 25 x 35 x 45 cm, and the carry-on bag must not exceed 25 x 35 x 55 cm. Each of these items should not exceed 20kg in weight.

The checked luggage allowance is 23kg in weight with dimensions not exceeding 158 linear cm.

If you purchase on the website beforehand, you can get extra luggage for as low as US$12. But if you wait for the counter or the gate you'll be charged up to US$45.

Don't wait until flight departure! Save yourself money and buy your luggage early.

Sky Airline Cancellation Policy

There may be a variety of reasons why you might need to cancel your flight. Perhaps you've changed plans, or you're not feeling well and don't want to travel.

Whatever the reason, it's essential to know Sky Airline's cancellation policy to avoid any unnecessary fees.

If you cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking, you'll receive a full refund of your ticket cost. Unfortunately, if you cancel after this time frame, you'll be charged a cancellation fee of $100-$500, depending on the airline's fare rules.

If the airline cancels the flight, Sky Airline will compensate you so that you can book the next available flight.

To avoid last-minute flight cancellations, use a travel planner app so that your plans are in place beforehand and you can avoid any problems.

Checking In for Your Flight

Checking in online at Sky Airline is easier and faster! The steps to follow are: go to the Check-in section at the top of the page, enter the reservation code indicated on your proof of purchase, select the passenger you wish to check-in, and fill in the required personal information.

Next, add any additional services you may need for your trip. This could include selecting a seat, adding baggage, or getting a Star Pass.

Then, ensure that you don't have any prohibited items in your luggage and accept the conditions. This ensures that everything in your bag is allowed on the plane.

Lastly, confirm your check-in, and you will receive your boarding pass. And that's it!

Sky Airline's check-in method differs from most because it offers digital check-in for those who cannot make it to the airport on time. This is an excellent feature for those who're traveling with an infant.

However, if you don't prefer using the Sky Airline check-in feature but also have to travel with kids, use our backpacking with kids guide so you can get done with packing earlier and save time for checking in at the airport.

In-Flight Experience With Sky Airline

Boarding the Plane

There's nothing that stands out here that is important to mention.

Passengers are grouped according to their seat number, and priority boarding is available for those who require assistance or have opted for a premium service.

Generally, people find this process okay, but there have been some complaints about rude Sky Airline employees and additional questionable baggage charges.

Seating

You're definitely not buying comfort and relaxation when flying with Sky Airline.

These seats are smaller and packed more closely together. Usually, the seat pitch ranges from a very tight 27 to a more acceptable 32 inches.

I'm surprised, but most of the seats are able to recline!

Food & Drinks

All food and drink are available by purchase only. That being said, most customer reviews mention that the food is quite decent, especially for its price.

What Others Are Saying

You may be wondering, is Sky Airline worth it? With a 3-star rating on Trip Advisor, you might be hesitant to book this airline.

Here are other traveler experiences that have been shared online:

After reading the below-average Sky Airline reviews, one customer said they were nervous about their flight. They wanted to get to Cusco without spending the night in Lima to start getting acclimated to the altitude for their trek.

Sky Airline offered the latest flight at 7:30 pm, giving them the most extended connection with their 5:18 pm arrival from the US.

Another customer said he paid for extra legroom on two flights and didn't receive it, and there was no chance of a refund. A customer also claims that Sky gave their seats away if they didn't check in online.

After sifting through all of the reviews, I'm surprised Sky Airline even had a 3-star rating! I lost count of the number of 1-star reviews left on TripAdvisor...

Overall, the main complaints travelers had about Sky Airline were scammy practices about double charging or refunds, not being able to get services they paid for, and absolutely horrifying customer service experiences.

Is Sky Airline Worth It?

After reading through all of the reviews, I would never book with Sky Airline.

Yes, I love saving money on my flights, but not if it's going to be overly stressful and feel like a scam where I need to constantly argue to get what I've paid for.

The flight tickets may be cheap, but you'll need to pay for a lot of add-ons and according to all of the reviews, you may not even get to your destination without numerous issues.

My Rating: 1.5/5

Pros:

  • Reasonable ticket pricing
  • Good selection of South American destinations

Cons:

  • Lots of add-on fees
  • Uncomfortable seats
  • Limited leg room
  • Terrible customer service
  • Struggle to get refunds
  • Struggle to use coupons or vouchers
  • Lots of terrible customer experiences
