Other Traveler's FAQs about Jamaican nightlife

Is Jamaica expensive?

Compared to many other Caribbean islands, Jamaica is very affordable. But this does not mean that the country is cheap. A cocktail will cost you from 7$ to $10, while beer is around $3.50.

Do clubs have a dress code?

Most of the clubs in Jamaica do not have a dress code. If you wear a nice shirt and trousers, or a cute dress, you will be fine. Just make sure to avoid flip-flops as you may be the only one in the club wearing them. Not to mention that dancing in flip-flops is quite uncomfortable.

Is Jamaica safe?

Jamaica is relatively safe, but avoid walking alone at night. Try to call a taxi or walk back to your accommodation with some friends if you can.
